6 cups self-rising flour
2 cups real butter
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. real vanilla extract
1 tsp. salt
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Mix dry ingredients and gradually add to butter mixture. Mix until flour is completely incorporated and the dough comes together. Chill dough for 1 to 2 hours.
Roll chilled dough to desired thickness and cut into shapes. Bake on an ungreased baking sheet at 350 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until outer edges of cookies begin turning to golden brown. Remove from oven, cool and enjoy!
Yield: Makes about 4 dozen, 3 inch cookies.
